Hello! Who needs cheering up? Well, me for a start…. too many dreary dark wet days for my liking, and not enough of the freezing cold sparkly ones that make your spirit soar and your cheeks rosy pink!
I think there’s nothing like a good giveaway to raise the spirits, so I decided that one of my uber-glamorous handmade silver cocktail rings might just do the trick. There’s no catch – one lucky person will be drawn at random from the entrants, and they will win one of these rings made to their ring size, by my own fair hands. I’ll even put it in a pretty box and pay the postage.
All you have to do to enter is leave me a comment at the end of this blog – that means I will have your email address, so I can contact you if you are the super duper lucky winner! Closing date for entries is Sunday 16th February at 6pm, and the winner will be notified the following day. There is no cash alternative to the prize.

If only I’d read the instructions I’d have finished the beaded poppy I’m making that is to be added to hundreds of others made by volunteers. They will be made into commemorative wreaths for the centenary of the beginning of WWI.

Not got a joke but do have a question you might know answer to. Is ruby in fuschite the same thing as ruby zoisite? I’ve googled it but some folk say it’s interchangeable name and some say it’s different.

Hi Kitty – I actually think it’s a different stone as far as I know – but they do look very similar. I think the fuschite tends to be found in India, and the zoisite in Africa. Have been trying to find the chemical makeup of fuschite to see if I can be more definite but no luck yet!x

I should love the middle stone it’s gorgeous and would brighten a Disabled ladys day! I find being wheelchair bound it’s very difficult to make yourself pretty or feminine and looking like uburh sofiscated or gorgeous .

I walked my gorgeous George today, he is a blue merle border collie, it was the first time we had seen blue sky in days, it made us both a bit hyper with happiness so for me it would have to be shades of blue to remind me of a lovely wild walk in the sunshine.
